Today is Memorial Day

Memorialdaycard Today is Memorial Day and I'd just like to take a minute to thank all the fallen heros who have made it possible for me and my family to live in freedom.  You have made this country great.  Too many take this freedom for granted and make light of the sacrifice given by those who have fought for it.  I have many relatives who have been and are still in the military.  Some have survived beyond their time of service while others have died in war.  I know many of us can say the same thing.  I've been guilty of getting caught 1909 MemorialDayCard up in the joy of having a day off and forgetting the true meaning of Memorial Day.  It's pretty sobering to spend a little time thinking about all the men and women who have died in service and all the families who have suffered when their husband, wife, son, daughter, brother, sister, aunt, uncle or friend didn't come home. No other nation on earth has the freedoms that we, as Americans have. We need to remember the cost and value of that freedom and not take it lightly or ever give it away.  If you'd like to read about the history of, and other information about Memorial Day, just click HERE.
